SOME OF OUR REVIEWS - UPDATED
2011

Phil
- United Kingdom - Thank you for
all the help you have given me in the course. I am knocking on now nearly
50 and had only recently started to work with PLC's in my new job, and
thought I was too old to pickup such a complex subject. I have already
put to use at work my new skills.
Jeff - Ireland - I enrolled with Scantime Engineering
Ltd for two on-line courses on programming Omron and Mitsubishi PLC’s.
Having never done this type of ‘learning’ in the past, I was
somewhat apprehensive in terms of what to expect. I need not have worried.
I found both the courses to be really interesting and extremely useful.
( I still sometimes refer to my course notes, even now!). My tutor, I
found to be patient, professional, and extremely helpful in nursing me
through these two courses, but at the same time not letting me off too
lightly and making me think for myself. Also, his response times to my
many questions was always very prompt.

Edward - Germany - Thank
you for the good news. It's encouraging to finish the first course.
Rob - UK - I've enjoyed the course & it's certainly helped
me at work.
Sherman 2010
Just to let you know how taking your PLC course helped me at work, I was
asked to design and build a control panel for our company's old machine,
our Technical manager had doubts that the machine would ever work again
and I was complimented by him when it worked, it saved our company having
to get a new machine in these rough economic times. I COULD NOT DO IT
WITHOUT SCANTIME, your COURSE made it possible for me ,and now saved my
company 10s of thousands of dollars - THANKS keep up the good work.
Steve -UK - Dear Scantime,
I would just like to take the opportunity to express my gratitude for
all the support that you gave me during this course. With a very big thanks
to my course tutor.
I can't fault the way the course was set out and executed. Many thanks
from a satisfied student.
James - USA - I now understand and it does make sense.
There really is a great deal of things to take into consideration when
programming!
Steve - UK - In a recent interview my answer to “Can
you read a logic table?” Had to be “No”. It goes without
saying that I didn’t get the job… so here I am.
Jeff -IRELAND - During 2004/2005 I enrolled with Scantime
Engineering Ltd for two on-line courses on programming Omron and Mitsubishi
PLC’s. Having never done this type of ‘learning’ in
the past, I was somewhat apprehensive in terms of what to expect. I need
not have worried. I found both the courses to be really interesting and
extremely useful. ( I still sometimes refer to my course notes, even now!).
My tutor, I found to be patient, professional, and extremely helpful in
nursing me through these two courses, but at the same time not letting
me off too lightly and making me think for myself. Also, his response
times to my many questions was always very prompt.
Trevor -NEW ZEALAND - Many Thanks once again for your
feedback on my work and your positive encouragement. I have definitely
found your course useful and know that I've learned quite a bit from it.
Miron - SWEDEN - Your guidance was excellent, every point
was well understood. I am looking for the next step in my training and
I am glad for your availabilty to advice me. I am waiting for the certificate
and course material, it is my best present for the end of the year.
Andre - S. AFRICA - Thanks for all your assistance during
the course. I will enrole for Part 3 soon.
Bertus - S. AFRICA - Hi Dave I appreciate your patience and guidance
through the courses, I intend doing Part3 next then Scada.
Kenny - USA - Now, I can see that placing the Limit contacts
immediately after the 0.00 or 0.01 signal is a better choice because anything
after that button in those rungs, once the limit has been reached, will
definitely be disabled. I can see even clearer now why it's important
to include the 0.00 or 0.01 in the speed control rung. In the above scenario,
when the button is released, even if the DEC could start decrementing
from the max speed again, it won't be able to do so because the 0.01 has
broken the contact.
Donovan -NEW ZEALAND - Thanks for the help and support
on the above,I am now looking forward to starting the next stage with
you.
Igoris - UK - First off all I should say thank You and
all ScanTime staff for opportunity to get PLC courses on line.
These courses were very helpful for me because I have achieved some very
important objectives.
Jesus - KUWAIT - Thanks for the help and all the assistance
and comments in my course. It greatly help me in my work at present and
hopefully will pave way for a better oppurtunity in the near future. I
am planning to continue on the Programming Course Part3.
Akram - CANADA - Hi Dave, Thank you
very much for your prompt reply and guidance regarding course. I will
defiantly follow all the instruction you provided. Thanks again.
Paul -USA - Here is my latest creation. Yeagh i had thought
about the process run control after i sent my program. At first thought
was important to keep those alarms involved but later after some thought
realized those other alarms wil handle themselves and don't need to be
apart of the program in the way i had done. Thanks again.
Joe - UK - Its the first time I've done a course online
like this one before, and its been a very worth while course to done.
I would recommend it to anyone interest in PLC'S. As an Technician with
lots of Omron systems on site, programming with Syswin it was ever a big
help. I will do the next part. Keep up the good work...See you in part
3.
Lee - SINGAPORE - Thank you, I really appreciate it that
you let me troubleshoot the program and just give me some clues, as it
really helped me sharpen my PLC programming skills. At last I finished
the course.
Leonid -CANADA - Thank you very much for your very valuable
advice. I appreciate your cooperation very much.
Neil - UK - Hi Dave thank you for you help on this course
it has been very interesting, does the part three course cover allen bradley
systems as this is what we use at the foundry i work at many thanks neil.
Richard - UK - Hello Dave. Thanks for that. I have really
enjoyed the course. There have been one or two occasions when i was not
sure exactly what was being asked of me and that may account for some
of the mistakes. When i first set out on this course i always intended
to carry on with the Scada when i completed the plc one and that is still
the case. However now i understand that you do a Part 3 Plc course. I
would be very interested in details about the Part 3, and welcome your
views as to whether i should do this before or after the Scada course.
Thanks once again.
Rob - UK - Thanks a lot for all your help, I felt the
course helped a lot. I’m booked on to course 3, so I’ll be
making a start on that shortly.
Robert - UK - Thanks for all your help and support during
this course.
Shailesh - MAURITIUS - Thank you very much for your advice
and praise. In fact, I will soon purchase scada part 1. I received my
certificate and courseware yesterday. Thank you very much.
Sherman - ANTIGUA - Hi Dave, I enjoyed this course very
much , I am looking foward to part 3 and learning with you.
Szymon - UK - Thank you for your help. This course taught
me a lot useful things about PLC programing. Maybe next month I will look
after another course.
Trevor - UK - It’s been a long time that my brain
has been stretched to this degree.Thank you for the interesting course.
Phil - UK - Thank you for all the help you have given
me in the course. I am knocking on now nearly 50 and had only recently
started to work with PLC's in my new job, and thought I was too old to
pickup such a complex subject. I have already put to use at work my new
skills.
Royston - UK - Thanks, I'm absolutely delighted. Thanks
for all your support throughout this course, your tutoring style is excellent,
never given the answer away but giving pointers wherever required and
more importantly, leaving the student to mull over the problem. It does
make it hard work for the student, but the learning process is all the
better for it.
Francis - MALI - Yes i am enjoying the course to be honest
and the encouragement i am getting from you. Thank you very much.Looking
forward to hear from you soon.
