About Us

Who is Scantime?

Scantime was started in 2004, after the founder, David Simm, developed and launched the first form of PLC and SCADA e-learning courses, providing a unique look at these systems and the programming involved. Popularity in the e-learning series grew and over the years, we have furthered our e-learning platform, as well as developed industry leading, hands-on courses due to the expertise and experience gained from working in the automation industry for over 45 years, working with Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi and Omron PLC’s.


We now provide training in over 40 countries worldwide, delivering PLC and SCADA Programming courses to major blue-chip companies, see below.


We are proud to announce that we have been listed on the North East England Service Provider Register as an approved online supplier, we are also members of:



UKRLP - UK Registered Learning Provider (Reg: 10029292) - A registry of learning providers and provide access to provider details for all stakeholders in the UK.



NECC - North East Chamber of Commerce - The North East’s largest business membership organisation representing 4,000 businesses.
