Course Information & Topics
We recommend completing our EAL Allen Bradley PLC Industrial Maintenance & Fault Finding Pro (IMFFP®) 1&2 course before completing our City & Guilds Assured Allen Bradley PLC IMFFP® 3 training courses.

Our IMFFP® training course is for anyone who has completed our EAL PLC IMFFP 1&2 and for those who will be working with PLCs, Open Networks such as EtherNet I/P, ASI as well as Ignition SCADA on the shop-floor while being able to fault find, make modifications and maintain the existing systems and networks.



During our IMFFP® training course, you'll have access to a programming laptop which will include Allen Bradley RSLogix 5000, a Live Allen Bradley PLC, Remote IO Stations and Ignition SCADA.

At the end of the IMFFP® training course, you are expected to understand and be able to work with EtherNet I/P Networks in industrial environments communicating between PLCs and HMIs while also being able to make modifications and maintain existing HMI systems.

We understand that once you leave a training course, it may be difficult to follow-up and continuously develop your new skill-set, which is why we are happy to help refresh your training in your own time, whenever you want.

Once you have completed our City & Guilds IMFFP PLC training, you will receive access to our Allen Bradley RSLogix 5000 eLearning training course (Available for up to 1 year), this will allow you to practice what you have been taught on our training course from home or work ensuring your training investment isn't wasted.

Certification

Being a City & Guilds Assured Training Centre provides validation and recognition for both ourselves and you, it’s a symbol of learning excellence and quality and is reassurance that the training you have undertaken meets best practice standards in today’s industries.

This training course includes examination periods on the 5th day of training, which will be 1 x practical assessment and 1 x theoretical assessment. We will also be including additional training time should anyone request further explanation of any topics covered.

To attend our IMFFP® 3 training course, you must have completed our EAL Allen Bradley PLC IMFFP® 1&2.
What is the duration of the PLC training course?
This training course is a 4.5 day training course running from Monday to Friday.

09.00 – 17.00 (Monday - Thursday)

09.00 - 13.00 (Friday)
Will I receive certification upon completion?
Yes, at the end of the training week, you will be asked to complete an online assessment that covers topics from that week of training, this assessment helps count towards your certification and upon completion you will receive a City & Guilds Assured certifcate and a City & Guilds Assured digital credential. This is proof that you have successfully completed a recognised training course at a Recognised Training Centre and have passed all of the assessments for the training course.
What is a City & Guilds Digital Credential?
Digital credentials allow us to recognise and communicate all skills consistently. We do this by using the Open Badge Standard, a universal format that creates data that can be validated quickly and easily.

Will I be working with a real equipment?
Yes, the best way to learn is to learn with the real equipment. During our training courses, you will be connecting to live Allen Bradley PLCs, Ignition SCADA and Remote IO while using real Allen Bradley Studio/RSLogix 5000 software.
Can I attend as an individual?
Yes, these courses are available to anyone willing to learn, whether that is through a company or as an individual.
Can this course be delivered onsite at our company?
Yes, we can deliver our PLC IMFFP® training onsite for your engineers, for a quote, please contact us with the location of where you would like the training to take place and how many engineers you would like to train.
What is the maximum number of trainees per training course?
As PLC/HMI training is a complex subject, we try to keep our class sizes to a maximum of 12 trainees per course, allowing each learner to ask their own questions and to feel comfortable in the classroom without being over-shadowed by others.

Step 7 lvl 1&2 course has great content. Really helpful for understanding step 7 basic capabilities with some expansion into more complex features. Completed the Siemens TIA fault finding course, it was a breath of fresh air to do a course which was actually relevant to my job and had plenty practical techniques which I could easily implement to make fault finding easier at work. I took the Siemens Step 7 Professional Programming (Modules 1&2) e-learning course. In my opinion it is a great course to learn the Step 7 software basics in an easy and understandable way. You only will learn the most important aspects. I think once you finish the course you will be able to develop your skills by yourself.

The content of the training was absolutely spot on for someone who just started to learn about Ladder Logic programming using Siemens TIA portal. The hands on experience to use TIA portal was really helpful for me. The course tutor spent a lot of time during my training to answer my questions, it felt like class room experience.
