Providing an awareness of control room operations to personnel who have little experience.
This course is in conjunction with TTE, Training for Industry.
Who is this Course for?
The course is aimed at persons who have little or no previous experience of a Distributed Control System.
Main Objectives
The aim of the course is to provide delegates with an awareness of Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and to appraise the aptitude / suitability of personnel by using dynamic process simulation packages culminating in the management of a DCS using an interactive continuous dynamic simulation package.
At the end of the course you will:
- Have an overview of DCS control and hands-on operations
- Understand DCS functionality and user familiarisation
- Have a skills awareness of trending and screen navigation
- Understand practical process operations ie:
- Start up / shut down
- Trip and alarm management
- Troubleshooting and practical scenarios
- Implementing procedures
- Teamwork and communications
