Our SCADA Programming Series provides you with a basic understanding of SCADA systems that all engineers need to learn when entering this field of engineering, including the background of SCADA, how and where they are used in today’s industry as well as SCADA programming as undertaken when designing manufacturing data acquisition for any type of SCADA system. This course is primarily for people who have no knowledge or experience in SCADA programming and wish to pursue a career, working with SCADA systems, but also may be found interesting by anyone interested in SCADA systems and how they work. You will learn, basic SCADA terminology, the differences between HMI and SCADA, creating screens with the screen editor, screen layout convention, templates and navigation, running the simulator, creating dynamic content such as bar graphs, sliders, 3D effects, indicators, buttons and more.


You will also learn, advanced SCADA terminology, using sliders to control and change the PLC process, scripts and how to interact with the process, importing databases from MS Office, scaling, creating genies/dynamic/pop-up displays, security and more.


Throughout the course, you’ll have access to professional SCADA Programming software, this is to ensure that you fully understand how to work with the software to design your own SCADA projects to work alongside PLCs on the shop-floor.


Who is this Course For? 

This course is for anyone who is interested in designing SCADA systems, including setting up and creating dynamic screens.


Experience Required: 

No previous experience or knowledge is required before completing this course however, we recommend completing our PLC Programming Modules 1, 2 & 3 courses to ensure that you have a full-understanding of industrial PLC programming.


Main Objectives: 

To ensure you are able to understand the basics of SCADA Systems such as its hardware, setting up and tools as well as being able to create your own SCADA Systems to Industrial Standards including Alarms and Dynamic Control.


Learning Outcomes: 

At the end of the course, you are expected to have a detailed understanding of the most used tools and pracitces in designing SCADA screens, as well as being able to design your own systems from scratch.

This training course includes theoretical and practical assessments for you to complete and send to your Course Tutor, there are 2 training certificates for this course:
